Sustainable fashion
Dress for Success Austin has been into sustainable fashion since before it was cool. Over 90% of the clothing items we give to our community are pre-loved or she-cycled. The pieces you’re shopping here at Impact Vintage are recycled donations that don’t meet our criteria for clients. This entire store was created so that absolutely no clothing that passes through our doors will go to waste. In 2021 alone, DFSA saved 30, 000 pounds of CO2 and 137,000 gallons of water through consignment. With Impact Vintage, we’re hoping to keep those numbers rising. What can you do to help? Easy. Inclusivity
At DFSA, we serve women from diverse backgrounds and circumstances, including women from many racial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds, as well as women of all abilities and strengths, women that are experiencing homelessness, mental illness, were formerly incarcerated, are non-English speakers and from the LGBTQ+ community. We always want to represent the diversity of our clients, supporters and customers through the models we show in our clothes and the people we have on our team. Empowering women+
Dress for Success Austin opened its doors on Tillery Street in East Austin in 2003. Since them, we have supported over 16,000 Central Texas women on their career journeys through our seven active workforce development programs. Our mission is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and development tools to help them thrive in work and in life. Our services are 100% free for all women+, and we have no income or referral requirements.
